Thoughts

Dear Mum - every time I close my eyes I see your smiling face. Life will never be the same without you but all the happy memories & precious times spent together will always remain safely locked away in my heart. If I can be half the selfless & caring wife, mother & grandmother you have been, I shall be grateful that I have had such a wonderful role model. Sweet Dreams mum - we will miss you so very much - dad will be there again to look after you - love you forever - Ros xxx

Mum, still can't believe you have gone. I'm waiting for you to call on the phone, but it does not ring I plan to pop up to visit you, but you are no longer at home. You always had a welcoming smile, even when times were tough, you would put on a brave face. You were always eager to hear how the family were getting on. I think back to family holidays, picnics and family "Get togethers" that we enjoyed together. I know you were so proud of the ever growing family. You have left a big gap in our lives, but memories we share of you Mum are locked in our hearts for ever. Will love you always, from Chris X

Mum, I still remember the lovely poem you used to recite: I went down a lonely lane today, Nobody else goes down that way. The flowers and ferns that grow there wild, Never I fancy, have seen a child. Red rose campion blushed so red, The buttercup nodded her golden head. The speedwell peeped, with blue eyes at me, And the rose hung over the path to see. I will not gather you sweet wild flowers And carry you home to the town to die. But I'll come each day, Down that lonely way, And nod you a greeting as I go by.
